Krishna has a particular appeal for children because he is one of them as no other divine is. Krishna the boy is mischievous, he is naughty. He is irresponsible energy for innumerab

He is secular even as he is sacred, and so he remains throughout his life. That is why Krishna becomes a living presence to all children who have listened to the stories about him. Throwing's his aged father into prison, Kansa occupied the throne of Mathura. Commanding a formidable army he thought he was unstoppable. The threat of his power came from an unexpected quarter - from a cowherd boy who was rumored to be his cousin Devaki's eight child, Krishna. Moreover  there was a divine prophecy that Kansa would meet his end at the hands of the eight child of Devaki..

ACK (Tamil)-509- Ganesha

GANESHA

THE REMOVER OF ALL OBSTACLES

Ganesha revered in India as the remover of obstacles is first and foremost an obedient son. Standing guard at his mother's door, this son of Parvati refuses to let anyone through. Even Lord Shiva is denied entry! This confrontation between father and son has one beneficial outcome, the emergence of Ganesha, the elephant headed god of wisdom.

Ganesha, also spelled Ganesh, also called Ganapati, elephant-headed Hindu god of beginnings, who is traditionally worshiped first in all Puja and before any major enterprise and is the patron of intellectuals, bankers, scribes, and authors. His name means both “Lord of the People” (gana means the common people) and “Lord of the Ganas” (Ganesha is the chief of the ganas, the goblin hosts of Shiva).
